Our Vision

Learn more about our 5 to 10 year vision for Calvary Home for Children.

2KidsThere are many great opportunities to support and get involved at Calvary Home for Children. We are currently focused on generating the funds needed to fill our cottages with children and complete construction of our counseling center. We are also planning special events and ways that you can get involved in volunteering and serving at the Calvary Home for Children.

Calvary Home is in a prime position to grow and meet even more children’s needs. Can we count on you to get involved in the exciting work that God is doing here?

UPDATE: Last week, Susan was reunited with her children! The family is together again and quickly transitioning back to life together!

We are especially excited as this is our first reunification of a mom and her children through our partnership with Haven of Rest. Please continue to pray for this family and for other families the Lord will call us to work with in the future.

We are experiencing New Blessings at CHC! Susan lost her 3 beautiful children due to problems that resulted in her entering the Haven of Rest's program almost a year ago. Her children were placed at Calvary Home from a group care facility, as she completed her program. A few weeks later, Susan moved into the Mazzara Cottage on campus, which is designated for transitional housing for mothers to be reunited with their children. She moved in just before the Valentine’s party for the kids at Calvary Home. Though she did not have unsupervised visitation then, she said, “I was thrilled as I watched my kids through the blinds as they played outside.” Since then, the kids have been able to start weekly visits with mom, and they are going great! Susan is doing extremely well as she is working on obtaining her GED, keeping the cottage meticulously clean, and writing in her daily journal all that she is learning through her recovery process. Soon the children will be able to start unsupervised visits with Susan as she finishes schooling, finds a job, and exhibits the great parenting skills she has learned along the way. Please pray for Susan as she continues to seek God in becoming the parent she desires to be for her loving children!
